Beyond Belief Episode 1 – Intro

In this episode I give you an introduction to Jeeves and Beyond Belief Radio. Learn about my “Discernment Rules” that we’ll use throughout the running of the show and listen to a creepy preview of our first real show!

Jeeves’ Discernment Rules:

  • What does the Bible say about topics that are “close” to the issue you are looking at (ie. witchcraft vs. natural healing) using Christian discernment.
  • What is the origin of the idea, creature, concept?
  • What is the (true) goal (or perceived goal) of the idea?
  • What is the motivation of it? (selfish, to trick, for good/evil, giving, selfless, helpful)
  • What could be the result of the idea IF TRUE?
  • What does your intuition say (feels dark, icky, cold, warm)?
  • What is “Intuition”? (instinct, a 6th sense, premonition, hunch, gut feeling) – auras or energies coming together? There are three types of intuition. They are as follows:
  • Coherence and Insight– Knowing something without knowing the source of that knowledge. This largely correlates with IQ.
  • Implicit Learning– Not knowing that you know something. This is picking up cognitive patterns.
  • Subjective Intuitive Abilities– Thinking you know something. This is for the intellectually curious who like puzzles and philosophical debates. They tend to prefer intuitive thinking.
  • What does empirical logic say? (detective it out, if-then, boolean / mathematics based)
  • Are there any “clues” as to what it might be pointing to? (ie. symbols, only happens to certain people, places, items, cultural clues)

I’ve discovered that if you want to find the Truth behind any unprovable or clouded topic/idea/event, that if you use a combination of these rules/questions, you will get pretty close and have an answer that can satisfy yourself and many skeptics.
